Privacy policy
2048
Last updated: June 9, 2026
Summary
This Privacy Policy explains how 2048 (“the app”) handles information when you use the iOS or Android app. The app does not require an account. Most data stays on your device. We use third-party services for ads and in-app purchases.
Information stored on your device
The app may save the following locally on your phone or tablet:
- Game progress, scores, and best score
- Display preferences (such as dark mode and color palette)
- Sound on/off setting
- Whether you purchased ad removal
This information is stored using your device's local storage. We do not receive it on our own servers. You can remove it by deleting the app or clearing the app's data.
Advertising
The free version of the app shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect information such as device identifiers, IP address, and app usage data to show, measure, and personalize ads where allowed.
On iOS, the app may ask for permission to track activity across other companies' apps and websites (App Tracking Transparency). You can change this choice anytime in your device settings.
Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy and AdMob's policies.
If you purchase ad removal, ads are no longer shown in the app.
In-app purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not collect or store your payment card details. The store provides us confirmation that a purchase was made so we can unlock ad removal on your device.
Information we do not collect
We do not ask you to create an account and we do not knowingly collect:
- Your name or email through the app itself
- Precise location
- Contacts, photos, or microphone data
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
- Turn sound effects on or off in Settings
- Purchase ad removal in Settings
- Restore a previous purchase using “Restore purchases”
- Limit ad tracking in your device privacy settings (iOS/Android)
- Delete the app to remove locally stored data
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
